[Chirakis 1]

BRIEF:

The away team from USS Ticonderoga (Defiant Class) has been looking for dilithium deposits 200m below the surface of a planetoid.

The good news: they have found the dilithium, plenty of water, and food on an otherwise barren planetoid.

The bad news: there is an inquisitive tentacled water creature in the underground lake.

The food they found is in the form of crunchy crawly slimy insects.

A phaser blast has caved in their only apparent exit.

Their captain was bitten by one of the many insects inhabiting the cave and she is unconscious.

There is no communication with the surface or the ship.

Will the creature be happy after being phasered?

Will the crew keep their wits about them and survive?
