Hamming It Up

Hamming It Up

Personal Log: Eagle,James,T.,Lt.Sr.grade,Tactical Officer U.S.S. Arcadia NCC-1742-E

The last thing Eagle had witnessed was a surprised expression mixed with anger at his presence on what appeared to be the bridge of the Porcine ship. The very next observation was his appearance back on the Arcadia...back home.

Hastily logging back onto the tactical console and immediately confirming ship status he relaxed a bit...drawing in a welcome breath of untainted air. The Porcine race had apparently saved their collective bacon indeed from the effects of the radiation that had almost fried us up.

Spotting Sam as she entered the bridge as what appeared to be Jordan and Daena being in beam transit in all probability to sickbay, after all the Csci had not been with the group during the hallucination and recovery stages on the Pig ship. I certainly hope she can be treated effectively ...She is a very competent Science officer and would be a loss to the ship and crew.

The next step was of course insure the additional crew members that had been beamed over and treated were being beamed back to the Arc as treatment and release upon recovery was accomplished...I do so hope Sam has gotten our UT to perform at a better rate than the Porcine UT is capable of. Placing the monitors onto automatic I exited the bridge after a relief was acquired and headed to our quarters to positively insure the twins and the nanny were back and intact.

The doors opened to our quarters and our Nanny along with the twins were in the front room apparently discussing their own adventures. Nanny Graham looked up with a questioning look as I entered and knelt down for my hugs as the twins rushed me. Ms. Graham watched and sat patiently by until Sotak and T'Linna had their fill of hugs and kisses. "Mr. Eagle" came her first injection into the questions and remarks session the twins were hurriedly issuing. "What has just occurred...and are we going to be ok now?." promptly followed.

Placing one twin on each knee...after taking a seat across from the concerned Nanny I attempted to put her concerns to rest,or at the very least insure her we were not about to be taken once again and consumed by any frightening alien species at this very moment in time. "I cannot share any classified information with you at this time...let it suffice to say from all appearances we are through the worst of it.". I paused for a moment to let what brief information I was enabled to share with her sink in.

Sotak and T'Linna had been communicating...telepathically to be sure as both of their small faces looked up simultaneously with a hint of mischievous glints in both their eyes as they then turned their attention to Ms. Graham. Taking the hint I proceeded to shut down that little idea very quickly and instructed them "Both" to play nice and do not antagonize her with any sort of trick or mind game.

Sotak was the first to speak as he just looked down a bit as he spoke his piece as me not being any fun anymore. T'Linna of course chimed right in scolding him for his remark to me. The statement of course from her was shrouded in fore thought as she had quickly guessed it to be better to stay on my good side than my bad side. turning to both I simply stated that neither flattery nor subterfuge would work...and my word stood.

The expression and comment from Ms. Graham was somewhat surprising as she related to me their overall behavior was commendable indeed..."The little darling's" I think is how she phrased it. I had almost blurted out Little Darling's my eye, I had refrained as she took them from my lap. "Time to get cleaned up for dinner and bed shortly she stated as she sent them on their way.". We love you father rung out as they playfully scampered off towards the restroom and shower.

I must admit you work very well with them Ms. Graham...I am impressed. Turning and quietly speaking as she nodded..."Sotak is the emotional one of the two you know". I looked on as she spoke. "Sotak I am sure was Hamming it up just for your sake". I thought for a moment as she grinned and recounted his adventures with his sister on the Porcine ship. I suppose you are correct...T'Linna is the spitting image of her mother, and apparently Sotak is more prone to emotional demonstrations like his father.

We continued to converse for a short while until I had to break the conversation with Ms.Graham as I advised her the need to return to the bridge...I had only desired to insure both she and the twins had returned and were in good health...back to some semblance of normality...even for this ship. Computer....End Log:...Beep..! :P
