DeForest Kelly - 10th Anniversary of His Passing

I visited TrekMovie.com this afternoon and as I was scrolling through the site, I saw they had a tribute to DeForest Kelly. Yesterday, June 11th, was the 10th Anniversary of his passing. I can't believe it's been that long. There were several videos of him in a couple of the TOS episodes and the initial TNG episode. He's also shown introducing Shatner and Nimoy at a convention in 1995.

I really enjoyed watching and listening to him. Had to laugh several times. If you're interested, here's the url.

Thank you for that, Doctor. I hadn't realized it had been ten years. It was good to see that clip, though bittersweet might be a better word.

DeForest Kelley rocks out.

Regarding the Thursday Acads, Mr. Kelley lives on in spirit so to speak, or at least the attempt is there to pay a little simming tribute to the man:

The regular ship is the USS Greenleaf. Greenleaf is the name of either the home itself or the neighborhood/street that Kelley shared with his wife for the last 30 years or so of their lives together.

The Runabout DeForest Kelley, attached to the Greenleaf, also makes regular appearances.

Thanks for the link Doc Matthews! Nice to see that he's remembered.

I think DeForest was one of my favorite actors, not just in Sci-fi. He just had a fantastic spirit and I loved seeing him on the TNG episode. I cant believe its been 10 years already. He is still missed and I hope his family is together right now just remembering how much fun he was. May God bless them all! =0]
