Security Officers Log/Musings

Assistant Security Officers Log

Stardate: 0604.09

A temporary containment area for the quarantine of colonists has been successfully created. Security Technician Bean set up the area with the guidance and cooperation of Ambassador Joy. The area encompasses a diplomatic docking bay and medical facility.

I took a double-shift in Main Security, familiarizing myself with the main security console and station security procedures.

There were no incidents to report. All is well.

Personal Log

Stardate: 0604.09

I haven't had much of a chance to get settled in since my arrival. It's baptism by fire for me. I wouldn't want it any other way. I knew when I took this post that it wasn't going to be all fun and games. I was hoping for a challenge and that is exactly what I am being given.

Security Tr'Jeth Dabi was not aboard the station at the time of my arrival. I am a little thankful that I had the chance to familiarize myself with the station somewhat before I reported to him. Also, I'm glad for the fact that my first duties could be performed without a Romulan breathing down my neck. I still have my reservations about all this, but I'm sure all will change once I have met him.

I noted that there was someone moping in one of the containment cells. I have to say, she was quite the extraordinary specimen. I also noted that two of the cells had been tampered with on the inside. I will have to bring this up with the Chief. Detainees should not be able to access relays controlling the containment fields.

Well, that's about all for now. Back to work I go.
