Personal Log, stardate 0905.13.

 

 

 

 

I have been assigned to Sky Harbour Aegis. It is as far from home as I've ever been. I was surprised, and maybe a little bit disappointed, that my application was accepted so quickly. I was enjoying some personal time, communing with nature in Algonquin Provincial Park. It has always been my favourite thing to do, camping Algonquin Park. Every summer, while growing up, I would spend two weeks camping with my parents and my little sister. This time, however, I was on my own, living off the land. I was in the middle of what had been planned to be a two week sojourn through the Canadian Shield when I received the communication from Starfleet. I was excited to be going to my first post, but I was also disappointed that I wouldn't have a bit more time off after graduation. I understand, however, that Sky Harbour Aegis is in need of able security officers.

 

I am currently en route to the station and look forward to lending a hand to ensure things run smoothly. I have reservations about my department head. I have never met a Romulan, and I still feel many of the emotions associated with childhood fear of impending war with the Romulan Star Empire. I hope that I can learn more about them, however, as I work closely with Lt. tr'Jeth Dabi. As a matter of fact, I look forward to it.
