All ya have to do is show up to a few acadamy sessions at the times posted on STSF.net and survive the GM's Q-like powers :D . Oh, and the Pandarians too (nevermind) :D .

It seems there have been a lot of posts like this lately, so I've put some advise together for new players.  You'll find it elsewhere in this section of the message board.

Good luck and welcome to the club.  :D

Greetings,

The existence of this species can neither be confirmed nor denied by STSF. However, should you encounter a giant white Panda type creature flying a starship, we would suggest you run...not walk...as far away as possible.

I'm still confused about getting into an academy in the near future!!

Welcome to STSF!

A really good, informative, and clearly written post by cptn_moose, entitled "What the heck do these people think they're doing?" was put up in the STSF Academy board (this one) to answer just that question.  Please take a look at it.  Also, if you haven't already done so, be sure to read the help section on this site (just hit the "Help" button under the STSF logo at the top of this page).

Hope this helps,

Moose's post, as usual, is a good, thorough, and easy read to get the basics.  Or you could do like I did so many years ago, and just show up to watch a few academies.  Just check the schedule, and be there at the right time.  Watch the interaction between the players and GM's for a while, then read Moose's post to get the details.  It's nothing you have to rush into...  but if you DO want to play right away, send a PM to the GM in charge, and ask for a post!  If you make a mistake, they'll help you along.  That's what they're there for!

Ack!! So that's what we're supposed to do...

I knew it was something like that, just couldnt' remember....

::snickers::

Seriously, welcome to STSF KanDora. Come see us some time, and we'll tell you about all the advantages of being a Romulan.

For a start...no silly Prime Directive to fuss over....like the Federation Captains follow it anyway. Talk about a rule that is broken more often than followed....sheeesh...

Real Disruptors....none of those silly phasers that just stun. We shoot for real....If you're going to shoot someone, you might as well do the job right the first time...

Just a question, who are these crazy invicible Pandarians anyway?!? Would like to know, since they seem to be quite dangerous. Especially since they destroyed my acadamy vessel once :laugh: . Sounds like somebody owes THEM a bloody nose :D . Heheh.

Hey there,

Saying I can get 5 minutes...I plan to put up a quick "Informative" website on the topic.  :wink:
