Who's Gonna Save the Saviors

::Romulan Senator tBagg is screaming at his aide, tLeaves::

CAPTURED!!? What do you mean, captured? Give me that report!

::He grabs and reads the document from the Echo Lab's security force for himself, not wanting to believe the truth. Finishing the report, he sits down hard and cradles his head in his hands for a moment. His head pops up with an "ah-ha" look on his face and he reaches for a small device in his belt[/color] and presses the signal button to alert t'Tamarak, hoping she is smart enough not to answer the call in the middle of the lab::

::t'Tamarak feels the communicator buzz in her pocket and immediately ducks out of the room she is in, heading for her office and waiting until the door has slid shut before activating the channel:: Senator?

tBagg> Doctor, we have a problem.

t'Tamarak> We have numerous problems, Senator. One more or less doesn't really surprise me. What has happened?

tB> ::sighing: The Federation team coming to your lab has been intercepted by the Echo Lab's over-zealous security team and they are being held in detention there.

t'T> ::narrows eyes:: Of course...that explains the delay in their arrival. Has their identity been compromised?

tB> I don't think so, but if they aren't released immediately, they will give themselves away as imposters. We won't have their help with the virus, millions more will die and I will be used as a live test subject for the disease. ::pauses:: And doctor, if I go down, you're going down with me.

t'T> ::rolls her eyes:: I'm afraid I have better things to do, Senator but thank you for the invitation. I assume you wish me to go and pull them from detention?

tB> Immediately! My report says that the overgrown Bhudt Scout in charge is a Centurion named tBone. I had already enhanced your credentials to be in charge of every aspect of that lab and this will be needed now. Go in there and get them out, with all the impatience and disdain you've been showing me. It will go over well withtBone.

t'T> I assure you that will not be difficult, Senator. I will be sure they are released. Have you any further instructions?

tB> Yes, think of some excuse to have me inspect the lab, I need to see this Federation team I have staked my career, my life, on.

t'T> ::Reflects that if the rest of the government had shown half so much interest as this one does perhaps something might have actually been accomplished in the last few months; deadpans:: Health code inspection, Senator?

tB> ::Spluttering:: Do you think I am a latrine cleaner??! Never mind, I will find my own reasons. Get to that holding cell right away!

t'T> ::Smirks:: Of course, Senator. t'Tamarak out. ::taps the channel closed::

::tBagg, feeling a little bit better, allows himself a smirk at t'Tamarak's smart aleck remarks:: Maybe this one bears a closer watch. I could always use someone who has the Empire's survival in their heart, along with a healthy does of self-worth and self-preservation. tLeaves, get me t'Tamarak's file and bring in her parents, I think I have a proposition for them.
