It was a Good Day

::A9 sat in the chair in his room, looking out at the stars as they fly by. His door opened and Admiral DeJariov came in::

 

A9> Heya Doc, how am I feeling today?

 

DJ> ::smiles:: That's a good question, Admiral. Tell me about your day.

 

A9> I have been pacing my room more than usual, but I do get tired easily. I enjoy the view and I really enjoy having a chair that isn't bolted down any more. I guess that means that my uncontrollable TK episodes are over now - or you think so - or it's really cheap furniture ::smiles and DeJariov just waits and listens::

 

I tried to do some reading this morning, but I just had a hard time focusing for any period of time. I was able to watch some video feeds, but nothing too technical. Also, I had some nice conversations with your nurses and your young doctors who are constantly checking on me. I can't decide if I am an oddity to them, or some sort of minor celebrity. Then again, maybe I'm just a great case study of what not to do to a brain.

 

I've been very worried about Manticore and Jami and... well, everyone. I wish I knew about their whereabouts and condition. I guess that's going in the right direction.

 

DJ> Anything else about today?

 

A9>::squints:: I don't know if I follow?

 

DJ> I was looking at the medication chart for today and I see that you had no analgesics today.

 

A9> Oh yes, no headaches today, that's right. But I'm sure that I... ::stops as he sees DeJariov start to smile:: I guess this *IS* the first day on the McCoy when I didn't get a headache, huh? I suppose it's been a good day, Doc.
