"Overtime"

-Karrigan Log-

After handing out damage reports to his fellow crewmen, Felix made a quick signal to his repair partner then hustled out for the turbolift. His partner was a human ensign named Aros who was supposed to be with damage control teams but reassigned in Main Engineering. The active damage control teams have already fixed most of the major mechanical problems in the ship, but there was still a lot of work to do. It was going to be a long day for both engineering and damage control.

Felix looked through the repair list once more. Their first job was on Deck 6…where the dreaded port sensor pallet is located. Felix has made the sensor pallet his top priority even though it would rank fairly low as a major system. Apparently he made this decision unconsciously. For some unknown reason, he made an enemy out of the port sensor pallet. Maybe after dealing with the pallet he'll make the ODN relay on Deck 4 his next enemy…just for a thought...

The team walks out as the turbolift doors slid open. Deck 6 wasn't really in its best shape. There were exposed wires and blown panels in most of the corridor. Even some of the ceilings have fallen off. Crews from damage control on the deck nod at the team as they walked passed them. Felix headed into the main controls for the port sensor pallet and found it less chaotic than what he'd seen. It was surprisingly "nice, warm, and bright". The sight reminded him of an aestival season he rarely experience during the summer times on Earth. On the computer, he quickly ran a diagnostic on the sensor pallet. After a few minutes, a log popped up saying that the pallet was quite unbalanced…as Felix expected from his previous visit.

"Looks like an unbalanced sensor pallet," he said to his partner who was scanning the area with a tricorder. Felix then kneeled next to a panel near the controls and opened it. At the same time, Aros opened the repair kit and stood over Felix with a tricorder still on his hand.

"Hyperspanner," Felix ordered as if he was about to perform medical surgery on the damaged conduits.

Aros then grabbed the hyperspanner from the kit lying next to him and handed it over to Felix's waiting hand.

"Here you go."

"Thanks."

"So how long you think the 'Court will be back to 100%," Aros asked as Felix began to work on the conduits.

"Hmmm…not really sure, but according to the infinite list of internal damages…I say we should be done in 3 days…more or less."

"3 days?" Aros chuckled, "No way…at best, I bet ya it would take more than a 5 days."

Felix stopped what he was doing and looked at Aros with a confident look, "You're on."

"Alright!...and o yeah, I think you're gonna need an ODN recoupler for that one," Aros responded as he was already grabbing the recoupler from the repair kit.

Felix looked to the conduit again, "o yeah…you're right."
