Biographical Information:

 

Marius is the only son of Maria and Saril. His unlikely parents seemed to have met when both Saril and Maria traveled to a neutral planet. Both were caught on an unmarked vessel believed to have been a spying for the Terran empire. The vessel was quickly surrounded and boarded. Maria and Saril were both arrested. However, when they were discovered, they were found to have a child with them - Marius.

 

Both parents were imprisoned, and Marius was taken to one of the many Romulan academies. Although half-human, his physical characteristics allowed him to pass as fully Romulan; no one but the officials knew of his real lineage. He learned a great many fields, the most exceptional of which was engineering, which he received honors in. Upon his graduation, he was taken by the administrators of the academy for an additional test of his loyalty. He was brought to his parents, ragged and craven, but still alive. As a reward for Marius's great performance at the academy, he was allowed to stay with his parents for a few weeks, and they were given the greatest care possible.

 

During these weeks, Marius connected with his parents, and a great love existed between them. Maria and Saril also shared their hostile view of the Romulan Empire and its tyranny, which Marius began to share. After exactly 3 weeks, the Academy administrators along with other High-ranking Romulan officers asked to meet with Marius in private. There, they ordered him, in order to prove his loyalty to the Empire, to kill his parents, handing him a knife. Marius took the knife, then, rejoining his parents once more, murdered them.

 

The Romulan Empire was pleased. The other Romulan officers present revealed themselves as recuiters for the Tal'Shiar. Marius was offered a position as an agent for the Tal'Shiar, which he readily accepted. They immediately sent him on his first mission to Trill. After 2 days, all contact was lost with Marius.

 

Months later, Marius found himself in pirating, unknown to the Romulan Empire. After taking part in a few small raids of freighters, Marius joined Corizon in taking over the SS Excalibur.
