Helm Reports

John McGee was amazed at the definition he could get in his navigational scans. Excelsior class ships were by far the latest in technology. He’d spent his first few days getting familiar with them, and now, he’d found something that shouldn’t be there.

Most comets and other orbital bodies that existed around a sun were basic elements, with only a few elements and basic compounds in any abundance. But what showed up on his screens called for immediate referral to science for further analysis, The navigational computers identified it as a non-sentient life form of some sort.

He turned in his helm chair, and called out “Commander Ba’aylo, sir. You need to see this.”

John McGee, Ensign

Helm Officer, USS Challenger NCC2457
