Rushing back

This starts a little before the end of the last sim, and ends just as the next one begins.

Tom was just getting into the Aetherian system, expecting to find that the research expedition was almost complete. "Shuttlecraft Canberra to Arcadia. I am just entering the system now; request permission to dock."

 

A few seconds passed before a response was received. "Canberra, welcome back. Permission granted to dock in shuttle bay 2. Lt. Servo, please be advised that a situation appears to have developed on the station, and it would be advisable to return promptly. A security team is currently being assembled."

 

Tom was wondering what could have transpired with such a technically advanced culture that would require security to attend. "Acknowledged."

 

As the shuttle continued on its path to Arcadia, Tom initiated a data link with the security and tactical databases on board, and skimmed over the recent history entered in.

 

He was able to gather the overview of the mission being prepared. He piloted the shuttle into the bay and as soon as he exited the shuttle, he contacted Malik, "Servo to Malik, I just got back, I'll be joining you at the port shortly."
