Lower Decks Mission Updates

11.30.08 Excalibur: Lower Decks Mission Update:

The USS Excalibur is currently in planetary orbit around Miriamano. The purpose: to foster relations with the Miriamano, and gather as much digital (or hardcopy data, possibly) as we can from their large archival storage.

The enlisted personnel of our Lower Decks would/could/might be handling any one of the following depending on their positions and duties:

- The Culinary Specialist staff might be interested in incorporating/purchasing some local cuisine or foodstuffs into the Excal mess hall menu.

- The Flight Deck Crews would be repairing equipment. Pilots (enlisted or non-com) might be working on their simulator training.

- The Master at Arms department would probably be concerned with working with the Security line officers and checking out the ship for any security breaches.

- The Transporter (Engineering Support) Operations Dept would be handling any transporter exchange of cargo and such with the planetary surface.

- The Musicians might be interested in locating any sort of musical compositions from within the Miriamano archival knowledge that is being transmitted to the ship.

- The Aviation Ordnance enlisted personnel might be taking inventory of the flight craft guns, torpedoes, small arms, etc, during the layover.

- The Aviation Mechanics would be repairing any flight vehicles.

- The Quartermasters office might locate some new cloth or supplies located on the planetary surface.

The above are just some examples, and I did not cover all of the enlisted and non commissioned officer positions that are outlined in our primer brief; the imagination of the enlisted officer writer can take you anywhere on the lower decks of the Excalibur.
