Remember when...

Hi Peeps,

I was just randomly remembering that the boards used to be dark grey with white writing, which looked very much more sci fi. I think the change came when evil virusses attacked the boards (ahem, IE sucks) and we had to update the forum software whatsuch etc etc. So I'm just wondering what people's opinion on the blue-ish aesthetic might be.

I hate the default Invision theme, but customizing it is bloody hard work, especially when you can't just use the W3C standards for CSS layout because IE still isn't compliant with it. :: rude finger gesture Microsoft's way ::

It would be nice to be back in black, but I don't look for it.

This site used to be the Invisionfree Skin Zone -- with the transition of a lot of IPB boards to the new ZetaBoards format, they've changed their name but their forums still have the code and CSS formatting for a lot of cool Invisionfree board skins. I've worked with IF boards on a number of occasions and always pull from here because forum CSS is mad complicated.

Just passing the link along in case there was any desire for it in any quarters in the board administration here.

OMG you're right. We should start a thread specifically about how many times IE has screwed us in our web development projects. So annoying.
