If anyone is interested in hopping on board the Lower Decks of Excalibur, and you have any questions, post 'em here in this topic and the command team will see what we can do to get you some answers. I'll start with the most common questions that keep getting winged at me:

 

1.) Is Lower Decks live chat?

 

No there is no Chat. The Lower Decks will be Message Board based, and the players will not meet every week in the chat. The plotline and postings of the LD Boards will roughly follow that of the main Excalibur plot, but will also be a completely independent game.

 

2.) What about the Lower Decks characters?

 

Yes, Lower Decks will only focus on Enlisted and Non-Commissioned Officers such as Crewmen, Petty Officers and all those guys. There are no Commissioned "Brats" here other then the occasional appearance when they invade the territory of the Lower Decks Denizens. :-P

 

3.) What do the NCO's and Enlisted do?

 

Anything from Cook to Musician to Quartermaster to Deck Launch Hand and all sorts of stuff in between.

4.) What do I do?

 

Applications are open to all tenured (six-months or longer) STSF members per the above linked GM Announcement and policy packet.

 

- Let STSF Corizon or STSF JoNs know of your Lower Decks interest via PM here on the boards or if you happen to have our email addys. We don't know of your interest unless we are told.

 

- We'll forward you onto the STSF Personnel Admiral Guy; after you hear back from STSF JoNs or Corizon and we tell you to pop off an email to STSF Personnel, make sure you include your start date here at STSF and that your email provider will accept emails from the STSF personnel email addy.

 

- STSF Corizon and STSF JoNs will get a final clearance email from Personnel and the Excalibur command team will then start posting you in an enlisted spot.
