The Manticore has left Maturin Station, the Special Ops deep space research platform, for a shakedown cruise. The upgrades and new equipment must be tested and all the crew waits with eagerness and fear for the results. Already the detachable Engineering lab has broken loose from it's tether and the Monocular Phaser has backfired on one of the Security officers, sending him to Sickbay with a phaser burn to the eye. What else can we expect?
