Mission Recaps

Mission Recap for 5 September 2008

TBS – 10 minutes

  • Sky Harbour Aegis continues to be surrounded by 55 D'Kora class Ferengi Marauders.
  • Starfleet has sent a sizable contingent under the command of Admiral Johansen.
  • Cdr Brown, commanding the Nebula class USS Portland, had arrived on a routine supply run. His ship has joined Admiral Johansen in defense of the station.
  • The Cardassian Union, believing its home world may be in grave danger, has sent its fleet to watch the other two.

Aboard the Station

  • Drs Lepage, McKinney, Pavilion, and Belar have received 5 Bajorans and 2 humans who have been found hiding in the access conduits.
  • Lt LeMorte and science officers Feretti and Lucindak are busy analyzing objects found with the stowaways, among which is a small bag of powder.
  • Engineers Coleridge, Fletcher, and Garrett find themselves with little to do since the station is on lockdown and disassembling it during a time of crisis seems not to be such a good idea.
  • Security Chief Ronin Shephard finds himself in great demand, torn between TAC, sick bay, and security reports.

On the Diplomatic Front

  • Sorehl plays a surprise visit to Ambassador Drankum hoping that the situation can be brought to a peaceful, diplomatic conclusion.

At sim end the station was at Red Alert.

Mission Recap for 12 September 2008

TBS - 4 hours.

  • The Breen are now 24 hours away.
  • Aegis is currently at condition yellow, pending approach of the Breen fleet.
  • The fleets of the Ferengi Alliance, the Federation, the Cardassian Union, and the Romulan Star Empire remain in proximity.
  • The diplomats have come to "a consensus" concerning revisions to the 2376 Treaty of Aegis. You may now check the temperature of the netherworld.
  • We discover that a Vulcan does possess a sense of humor as we witness Sorehl answering Drankum, referring Joy's participation in negotiations, "I presume to avoid any mis-interpretations?
  • Medical and science continue to explore the problems plaguing the group that was found stowed away aboard Aegis. The source of their illness remains a mystery, but tests show there may be a problem with their DNA.
  • Aegis receives word from Cdr Brown, on recon aboard the USS Portland. The Breen fleet seems to be "fading in and out" and it doesn't seem to be a failure of the FX budget.

During TBS:

  • Cdr Chirakis has visited and met all new personnel (yes, she's that good).
  • Mr. Porter and Ms. Feretti have received short but necessary rests.

Heard Aboard Aegis:

Capt Muon Quark -> ::rubs her head:: If I survive this, I'm going to kill Drankum.

***

KVorlag -> :: doesn't see any fruit bowl this time, looks for an empty seat and takes it... loudly ::

MrDrankum -> ::blurts out:: Not to rush anyone, but we are still ready to begin the next galactic war if we're too busy to decide on this...

KVorlag -> :: looks to Drankum :: Do we have to worry about defending against your ships first, Ambassador?

MrDrankum -> ::examines the Klingon and tilts his head:: I guess that depends on the vote...

KVorlag -> :: curls lips at the distaste of voting ::

Capt Muon Quark -> All I know is that if we don't agree on something within the next 24 hrs, we'll be in big trouble when the Breen arrive.

***

Chirakis -> Ambassadors, Mr. Porter, are the spice of life. Without them the universe would be bland.

Damian Porter -> ::laughs dryly:: I think I could do very well without them.

Chirakis -> ::wry grin:: And miss the intrigue?

***

Leilani Feretti -> No doubt about that. With the stowaways, the red alert, the Ferengi huffing and puffing at our door and our move to the Portas system, it's a miracle any of us get any rest.

***

Nicolas Lepage -> Oh, you don't know about the powder. It was found near the stowaways...some protein and guess what we think it does.

Isabeau Delevan -> ::looking at the powder curiously:: What do you think it does?

Nicolas Lepage -> ::smiles:: We think it stabilized DNA...as in additional hydrogen bonds.

Isabeau Delevan -> ::and returns his smile:: Ah...but...why would they need to stabilize their DNA?

Nicolas Lepage -> ::shrugs:: I have no idea but we need to find out.

***

Rachel E Garrett -> ::sudden look to Caelan:: You ever seen anything towed?

Caelan Fletcher -> ::thinks for a moment:: I uh...yeah. Thought we did it in a training exercise once.

Rachel E Garrett -> Training, huh? Did anything bad happen? Like..the thing break in two?

Caelan Fletcher -> Don't think so. Passed the class, so couldn't have had anything that bad happen.
