Taking into account the recent mission and ensuing developments from our work. I have finally arrived at a good place, Though the possibility of my past research and development as part of the R&D dept. back at fleet...I have learned to deal with my demons.

 

The fact my work may have been exploited for a purpose it was not designed for is no longer on my conscious. The new heading and assignment this ship is now preoccupying my time and energies. The word around the Manticore infers we may be heading pell mell into a possible situation that may involve certain dangerous life forms the fleet has met previously.

 

The word is an upgrade to the computer systems has been performed....That might possibly explain the alert to my console as it pertains to the primary core computer systems supervisor routine implemented since our little encounter with a race that literally gained access to our main core,and holographic array that damned near killed the Admiral.

 

The routine of course is built into every Star Ship as a ways and means to prevent a alien or hostile take over of the main computer core.The augmentation and enhancement of the subroutine was performed as a future upgrade in the event we ever ran into that kind of insurgence again in our travels.

 

I have finished running the various diagnostics on the propulsion systems and fine tuned the additional secondary routing and fortification of the defensive grid as well as the augmentation of our primary weapons ability by routing them through the dual star drives all the while a dedicated secondary energy charging grid in case of main propulsion failure through the secondary propulsion systems ...ergo all weapons and defensive grids should be enabled to continue unhampered.

 

The thought of this ship and crew being caught with our collective fat in the fire may just be limited a bit now. The word around the ship again conjures up the words slipstream propulsion capabilities....I would love to get my hands on such a device...with enough time and resources to back engineer that technology would be any warp engine engineers dream and to find a way to make it adaptable to our present fleet, Or just the Manticore is a challenge I would readily take on.

 

Well time is growing short...Systems appear to be at maximum efficiency, I intend on us from at least my part..."Forewarned,Forearmed". Computer end log: Beep..... :)
