"Grumblings"

Science was very quiet. So quiet, in fact, that she thought it was deserted until she came across the Arbazan in the auxiliary lab. Unfortunately, it gave Fiona time to ponder things. That was never a good thing.

Once again, she was reduced to "general practitioner and healer of crew". Such joy -- and not of the science chief variety. Curing the flu, of all things. It possibly was worse than her pediatrics stint. Wasn't that why she had nurses? And CJ? So she could lounge about on the exceedingly comfortable (and currently unclaimed) counselor's couch reading while they did what doctors generally did? So she could hide in the medical labs and research? That would be quite nice.

And what, lately, was with the continued use of that gods-awful abbreviation of her title. "Doc" this. "Doc" that. "Doc" was some old country bumpkin witch-healer who called on elements and roots and archaic rituals to heal. "Doctor" was a title one earned -- over years. If nothing else, surely Fiona was deserving of "Doctor". She utterly, completely, positively detested the use of "Doc".

Oh well. It wasn't like she could actually say anything about it. And besides, she had bigger things on her mind -- this little visit to Sci one of them.
