Celebrating Six Years

Six years ago a group of like-minded individuals banded together to form the Star Trek Simulation Forum. We had no idea at the time if we would succeed, nor did we ever envision the heights to which our small group would climb.

To those of you who gathered in the lobby of the Marriott Courtyard, Hunt Valley, that day, congratulations on six fruitful years!

To Admiral Atragon, the person who had the vision and brought it to fruition with the help of a dedicated webmaster and several dedicated game masters, I salute you!

To those of you who have joined since then, especially our newer members, may you have as long and as fulfilling an experience as I have with this incredible group of people.

And especially to Gene Roddenberry, without whose vision Star Trek would not be: as you orbit our planet in your final resting place, may you rest assured that your vision continues in the ether we call cyberspace.

Congratulations to us all!

Wow, we're six now! Does this mean that we start first grade soon?

Thank you, Jami, STSF has thrived and grown and as long as everybody is having fun here, it's all been worth it. I am reminded of a comment that is often brought up, jokingly, in Scouting circles, when referring to adult volunteers: It's just an hour a week!

6 years eh? Has it been that long. I remember that meeting and all the fun we had that weekend. Congrats to Atragon and all the other STSF members. I'm glad to be back.

Sumo,

I agree that weekend was loads of fun. I still have the Mutt and Jeff picture taken of us standing together.

Thats one weekend I will never forget.

Happy Anniversary to us all.

The scary thing for me is that's only about a third of the years that I've spent GM'ing. :)
