"The Qel of Boredom"

Tortures were really fun.

Waiting around for H'tiss to spill information really wasn't. This... intellectual method of information-gathering should have been more appealing to the whole "scientist and doctor" half of Tro'NoQ. But for some reason, it wasn't satisfying. There wasn't that crunch of bone, or the ripping of tendons and ligaments... or even the satisfying screams of the H'tiss. This was just... dull. Like going to a movie and finding out that it was a thriller when you'd expected a slasher.

So Tro'NoQ waited. And waited. Until he was practically dozing off. Then finally, something miraculous happened.

A cockroach crawled across one of his fingers, and before the bug knew what grabbed it, he had a wonderful, tasty, leggy snack.

Crawling snacks made even dull "interrogations" so many times better.
