I guess Deltans are considered a TOS race.

TOS Aliens: Minaran, Catullan, Orian, Gorn, "TOS Romulans"(Not Rihannsu or Megabrow TNG'ers). I do tend towards the aliens that haven't been covered much so I can do what I want with their culture with little fear of them ever being mentioned again.

My primary character is a mixed race. 1/2 Minaran, 1/4 Orian, 1/8 Vulcan, 1/8 Human. ::shrug:: It's what ya get when you let sim characters breed.

I've made bios for TNG one off race characters before but never fully developed or found a place for them. They've included Rutian and Barzan.

I voted DS9, basic humanoid, and mix -- half-Bajoran, half-human. W00t w00t! :)

Hmm.... The numerous Joys would be TOS. Tay is my own. Tia being Betazed-Deltan with a Vulcan education is mixed, but goes to TOS on the tie breaker...

Joy, you could pick all of them.

Lord, let's see. Over the years... Vulcans, a Klingon, Orions, Rihannsu would all be TOS humanoid. I have a character from a species explored in novels only... Interestingly, only one human.

Many Caitians (TOS), with the kitteh's comprising both both my two regular characters and secondary characters that pop up from time to time in logs. And one lapse into a Human character - what was I thinking?

Well, I think if you are already human, just pick something else (like trill).

Mine is Half Klingon/Half Romulan. I would have to go with her being a TNG type character since she doesn't have any of the characteristics of a TOS Klingon or Romulan. And the Avatar pic is of a TNG character. SO..let's go with TNG..

BTW..I am watching you Joe. Hehe

I thought Cait was TAS (The Animated Series)? I went to check this on Memory Alpha, only to find the Cait entry had been relegated to Memory Beta.

There was a Caitian, or at least a cat like creature in the Federation Council scene of one of the TOS movies and timeline wise TAS was between TOS and TOS movie so for this poll I'd say Caits, Edoans, and whatever those bird creatures were can be called TOS.

I've played only humans, besides a Ferengi and a Betazed so I guess I can only click off TNG.

M'Ress is a Caitian communications officer whose species may be related to the Kzinti.

The Kzinti are not to be confused with the Tzenkethi.

Caitians first appeared in TAS, so to me, that is direct link to TOS. Later, yep, those cat like beings on the Council board in Star Trek 4 are generally considered to be Caitians (the feline pool table dancer in Star Trek 5 is not considered a Caitian). Although, one of the Decipher (2004) role playing book expansions has a picture of the brown furred ST4 Council member one under the species heading of "Regulans" - I gather it's a copyright thing, but the infromation generally remains the same from the FASA role playing books, with a few new additions that are believable.

Honestly, there really isn't a lot of canon sources out there for Caitians, other then TAS (canon, in my view), the few FASA/Decipher books, and the few random appearances in novels or comics (non-canon). On the flip side, it gives a role player room to develop a feline Cait, as long as you don't get stupid with the felinization and try and do this that and the other thing characterization wise (god modding!).

Some of us *are* Canine. TYVM :)

As for me... let's see:

The Dameon's are my own, Rihannsu, Elasian and Catullan are TOS; Bajoran, Arzaban are DS9; Risan is TNG; the rest have been humans.

Made-myself race. Which means total creative freedom. I can flesh out my character without having to either follow or break a personality archetype set by some Trek writer. And I can do whatever I want with the homeworld -- blow it up, have it disappear in some weird space-time phenomenon, turn the government into evil tyrants -- without violating canon.

I tend toward either that or Human when I create characters.

One of my characters is Vulcan, the other is Vulcan-Romulan hybrid (only he doesn't know about the Romulan half).
