I am fond of Hires and A&W Rootbeer. Perhaps your character researched some former Rootbeer manufacturers and restored the name. Of course, if you don't like those names you might try "Essence of Root - For that Old Time Feeling", "Foamin' Bubbles Root Beer - It keeps you going", "The Challenger - One sip and you're in heaven", "Honest Abe's Root Beer - Too good to keep a secret" (or 'Too good to lie about'), or "Brown Yummies - It tickles the throat and delights the senses".
