Like we reality-challenged types mind... Although the bug in the poll allows for multiple choices, so I voted both TOS and TAS. Particularly since I feel TAS finishes out TOS.

I as well took advantage of said bug and voted for TOS and ENT: TOS is first choice, ENT second.

Pardon me, I will now go pounce the bug. It's a cat thing. I'll grab it and then leave it at the feet of my commanding Colonels because I know they are both hopeless at hunting prey.

I had to vote twice too. While TOS got it all started, it was the passion and love stories in DS9 and Enterprise I keep watching.

I voted for DS9 and TNG and also.... it is not a bug. When you make polls you have the option to make multi-choice questions ^^ funfunfun!!!

TNG..Sorry, Data will always be my man!

Your right, the TNG crew is my favorite, especially Picard, Worf and Data. They have the better movies, too.

FIRST CONTACT ROCKS!!!

I voted for VOY because it was the first series I watched then later on I got addicted to star trek. My second choice would be TNG...and yea, Picard's crew is awesome.

Yes, it's amazing what you can do with computerized special effects. After all building filming models is a rather expensive thing to do. But real models tend to give a better sense of realism.

I agree. Just for example the first Star Wars trilogy(4,5 and 6) ships looked so much better than the second(1,2 and 3).

So I'm surprised that TNG didn't win. Alright...I think if you dig in the archives you'll find this to maybe be the third time I've laid out my opinion in the....3.5 years I've been around here. So that means that this topic roughly comes up once a year, interesting.

I really do enjoy DS9, but I have not seen a lot of it, I'm just getting into it, rewatching the whole series in order to actually get into the plot arcs of the war.

But my vote is Voyager, first for a very simple reason that I think usually applies to trekkies. Voyager was the first star trek I ever watched. So it's what my mind Identifies as "star trek". Anybody else feel this way, the first cast and ship you watched are the ones that stick close to your heart.

Now here are some real reasons.

Janeway is a steely, pragmatic, get-it-done sort of woman/captain, which is admirable...and sorta attractive. And I see the arc of the series focusing on the fact that despite crazy odds and being far away from home and all that jazz, Janeway boldly led her crew (and another one!) home in a way that closely followed the ideals of Starfleet, which are chiefly the ideals of Star Trek as a whole. And that's awesome. Her resolve was amazing and it served to get the crew home, bring them close together and do the Federation Charter good justice.

So yeah...I think Voyager's awesome, and voted thus.

Funny thing...and just to bust your theory to pieces. I voted Voyager for the same reasons, but I started watching Star Trek with TOS on reruns in the eighties and then TNG from the begining when I thought the Galaxy class looked like someone accidentally melted the plastic model.

So consider me the exception to the rule or a silent majority...whichever floats your boat.

B) I never noticed that.... the plastic model thing that is. I better check when I have time.

in order 1: TNG, 2: DS9 and 3: Voyager

TNG was the "Happy, Family Oriented"

DSN was a darker, crueler (poor Miles and the Bloody Cardy Equipment), but had techno breakthroughs (anyone think the Mine Field was awesome other then me?)

VOY for the fact that 1: first female captain to have her own show, 2: Loved the warp necelles and landings (good CGI), 3: B'Ellana was hot, but Seven was hotter.

next gen holds that one vote lead, but considering this was the first new series and brought in a lot of new fans in addition to any original fans, not surprising.

Personally, you can't get me off of TNG. I like all trek, but TOS is too old for my taste, DS9 to dark and un-federation, VOY i like alot, ENT haven't seen much of. The characters in TNG are so special because all of them have those special kirks, (forgive the pun), that are sketched into ones brain. Picard tugging at his shirt, Riker walked around with his cocked to one side and sitting down at chairs by lifting his leg over the back along with his dramatic way of saying WHAT THE HECK which really counters McCoys FOR GOD SAKES MAN, Georgi's special laugh and smile, Worf's general awkwardness, Data's head going from side to side and constantly blinking, Crushers being extremely decisive and always looking out for a time to threaten Picard by almost relieving him of duty, Wesley's.... just being Wesley, and other characters like Tasha, O'Brian, Broccoli (nick), and the doctor from the second season who I refuse to name because in my eyes I always call her, "Elementary, Dear Data" for that wonderful episode.

Because of maturity reasons I never see TAS, but is it good?

haha. I wouldn't know about TAS, I never saw it either. I do agree with you about the TNG character quirks. They are good. I also like Deanna becuase she is not a stick and she likes chocolate.

I like that one with the crazy robots, and that woman who seduces everyone and causes nuclear catastrophes.

My favorites are the character development plots. Data's Day and Lower Decks, stuff like that. "Romulan Warbird decloaking on the starboard bow..." that sorta stuff is just so easy to end up doing too many times. When we learn about Rikers trombone, the sort of "inside joke" of him not being able to play nightingale, all that trivia stuff is what makes a TV series different from a movie and what makes it worth watching.

In my opinion, of course. :)

oh totally. In a tv show I find it is easy to exhaust a topic, especially in a show as long as the trek series. Plus they have sequels so you can reeeaallly exhaust the topic.

The DS9 Homecoming trilogy really makes you tired at the end. On the other hand, I never tire of seeing Data training Spot. Someone should tell this to the writers, I don't think they understand.

Enterprise, Enterprise, Enterprise!!!!!!! They have the most belivable, deep, (and cutest, body and soul) men Star Trek has ever seen. Best acting as well. No dramatic stuff.

Vulcan Monk: (makes the wall open) If the Andorians find the relics, they will destroy are culture in ways you can never imajine

Trip: (halway yells) For people who aren't supposed to have emotions, you sure as hell play up on the dramatics!

Trip: (dehydrating in desert) I wont take another man's water!

Archer: If you dont take it, I'll knock you on your ass and pour it down your throat!

Reed: (prepared to die for ship when he doesnt need to just yet, also pinned to hull) Just so you know, sir, that I am prepared.

Archer: Gotcha

Reed: (pinned to hull) Sir, I really need to use the bathroom

Archer: I won't tell a soul

Reed: In my EV suit, sir?

Archer (to Vulcans): Unable to restrain ourselves? You dont know how much I'm restraining myself from knocking you on your ass!

(Those are quotes. I myself did not put the swears there. No, Archer does not swear all the time, those are just some humourous quotes I have in my mind)
