Assistant Medical Officer Victor Images Personal Log

I have been attempting to help the Captain regain consciousness. I firstly tried the most basic forms of doing this, including smelling salts that are especially useful with Andorians due to their extended nasal capacity. This not working, I gave him thorough scan with a medical tricorder and finding no actual neural damage and only an increase in these mysterious particles I decided to use a Hyperencephalogram to measure his brainwaves. By doing this I discovered that the captain seems to be in some form of deep sleep. He may not react to outside stimuli and scores four out of fifteen on the Glasgow coma scale but it appears he actually is thinking strongly. He erratically twitches as if in a dream. Using the cortical stimulator I was still not able to revive him I believe that all we can do is wait, either for Dr. Jones to figure out this permanent cure he’s working on or for the Captain to come out of it himself. Well there is one other option, a neurolink or a mind-meld with another crewmember so that we could find out what he’s thinking and perhaps awake him. As a doctor I would usually leap to the chance to use any means at my disposal to help someone in this state. However I don’t think that it’s that good an idea as not only is it dangerous to all involved as we do not completely understand his situation, but it also involves being one with Captain Meve, the angriest man on the Aegis!
