Challenger Award Structure

As you all know, we've been simming under this new Excelsior format for the past two months now, yet for quite a while longer than that, we've been without an award structure. Awards are an important part of simming, as it encourages players to be more active, and go that "extra mile" to contribute to the sim and plot. We've been without awards for as long as I can remember, so.. to encourage participation, I'm including a list of awards I'd like to give out to players. Some of these awards are similar to those awarded to other sims, while others are unique to Challenger.

USS Challenger Award Listings

 

ATTENDANCE

 

Bronze Good Conduct Medal - Awarded to players attending 10 sims (non-consecutively)

 

Silver Good Conduct Medal - Awarded to players attending 25 sims (non-consecutively)

 

Gold Good Conduct Medal - Awarded to players attending 50 sims (non-consecutively)

 

Platinum Good Conduct Medal - Awarded to players attending 100 sims (non-consecutively)

 

 

Bronze Service Stripe - Awarded to players who attended 10 sims in a row.

 

Silver Service Stripe - Awarded to players who attended 25 sims in a row

 

Gold Service Stripe - Awarded to players who attended 50 sims in a row

 

The 'I have no life!' Award - Awarded to players who attended 100 sims in a row (plus a free 'Get out of Jail or Sickbay' card*)

Six month anniversary citation (self explanatory)

 

One year anniversary citation (and every year thereafter)

 

LOGS

 

The Golden Quill - Awarded for the best solo log

 

The Siamese Log of Triumph - Awarded for excellence in joint logs

 

The Chocolate Heart - Awarded for excellence in romance-based joint logs

 

The Inverse Reaction Unilateral Turboencabulator of Modial Magento Recluctance Award - Awarded for the best use of techno-babble in a log (joint or solo)

 

PERFORMANCE

 

Star of Excellence - For displaying excellence in a player's given field over a mission

 

The Starfleet Medal of Valour - Awarded to a player going above and beyond their duty to contribute to the success of a mission.

 

Federation Cross - Awarded to a player(s) injured in battle and/or sacrificing their own safety to rescue a crew member or civilian(s). (Special cases only)

 

Starfleet Starburst - Awarded for outstanding service during the course of one or a series of missions.

 

Leadership Commendation - Awarded for showing exemplary leadership skills for away missions

 

Command Citation - Awarded for quick thinking and ingenuity in getting out of an emergency situation

 

Golden Beaver - Awarded to hard-working industrious players over a given time or mission

MISCELLANEOUS

 

Get of Jail Free Card - Players incarcerated in the brig or captured by the enemy can use this card to be immediately released. Can only be used once.

 

Get out of Sickbay Card - Injured players can forgo staying in sickbay and get automatically healed from their injuries. Can only be used once.

 

Second Chance - Players have the opportunity to re-do an action that has led of negative circumstances (e.g. player gets hurt, ship gets lost as a result of said action, etc)

 

NEW! Immunity - Prevents injury or harm to a character over a period of time (eg for a mission plot)
