Wondering

Kania sat in her chair on bridge after leaving Blu's Ready Room. She could not believe that Blu was honestly thinking of following orders and sending the Crew to Station 81 for scientific studies. In all the years Kania had been serving with The Admiral and all they had been through, this was the first time that she disagreed with orders. No matter how much she disliked some orders she could see the reasoning behind them. But not this time. And thinking back this was the first time that she wanted to go against Blu and somehow take her command away so She could not carry the orders out. But she knew this was impossible especially since Huff was on board. Dr Huff would not remove Blu from Command and it would have to be her to do so.

   Kania leaned her head back against her chair and thought back to her medical training. She had her doctrine in medicine even though it was a bit out dated and she had not kept up with the continuing education, she knew that they had to be missing something. She sat up straight again and punched a few button on her arm console bringing up the stats of what had been found on the planet about this virus so far. She started thumbing through the data hoping something would hop out at her. Sighing as she continued reading the data, Kania noticed that some of the antibiotics had not been tried. A few had but not all. If they sent down several different ones, one type could be given to each crewman and if one started to show promise and show signs of recovery then the rest could take it as well. It was a long shot but anything was better in Kania's mind to sending the ill crew to Station 81. She quivered at the thought of her friends and fellow crew being used as guinea pigs.

   Kania took a deep breath and looked back to Blu's Ready room. Should she tell her of her thoughts or should she take it upon herself and just have the different antibiotics sent to the planet and have Dr Drake give them to the crew? Kania also wondered if she told Huff about her thought would she then go tell the Admiral? Kania knew she was treading in deep water as it was with Blu but if it meant having a healthy crew once more, it might be worth her getting a demotion or even a court-martial for going behind the Admiral's back and revealing orders.

    Kania sat with her elbow on the arm rest and her chin resting in the palm of her hand, pondering for a moment which way to go.
