Advertising in Sims

Having just been to a movie, I think I have a great suggestion for STSF sims.

 

We won't have to wait in line to get into the STSF chatrooms. Hasn't happened yet at least. How many can get into the rooms?

 

First we need to sell products appealing to players during the sim, but will run out before it even starts. Like icees. Sell them over the net so they arrive just when the sim starts, then stall so by the time the sim actually starts, the icee has been completely consumed.

 

How? Easy. Theaters have figured it all out. When your sim is ready to start, at say 9PM EST, play 15 minutes of documentaries and music videos. We can't do that, but the GM can sit and talk about music and history. Then, he can run macro advertisements for coke, cars, and other products for another 20 minutes. Then he can talk about other sims, "previews" of other sims in STSF for another 20 minutes. Then, oh-so an hour after the sim was supposed to start, they can BEGIN SIM.

 

The movie theaters do it and no one seems to complain, so why can't we?

Well, think about it Vex.  We caught maybe 2 dolphins for every 100,000 tuna, and no one protested what was happening to the tuna!

oh please don't it ruins the taste if the food is drunk! it's not the same as when we marinade you in white wine, then add some cream sauce and mushrooms and make a light green salad on the side all followed up by the house's favourite dessert, "doughnuts ala huff". If we're gonna cook you at least be polite and taste good.
