Jolan Tru!

Greetings fellow Romulans ;

I accidently found your site and wanted to be a part of this.

Many years ago in the early 90's I was involved in the AOL sponsored ST sims.

At that time there were only Starfleet crews and sims and through my efforts the Romulan empire was admitted into the sims.

Intrestingly enough the Ship I commanded as the RSE Talon. I still have many of the old chat logs from those adventures and will post them sometime!

Tks

Sardak

P.S.

BTW Sardaks parents fled Vulcan and rejected the teaching for the Romulan philsophies. Their home is on ch'Rihan. Hence the Vulcan name, Sardak

::clears throat::

Welcome back!

And now for my boilerplate welcome message

Two things to remember: 1) Any Academy hosted by STSF N'Dak is a guaranteed suicide mission [And that's a direct quote from his signature]. 2) Never compare the GMs to Captains Bligh or Queeg if you want to get graduate sometime before the turn of the century.

That being said, I'd recommend reading: How to sim, as well as: Tips from the Moose (Helps to refresh experienced players on the gaming conventions)

For all your technobabble needs, visit Memory Alpha or Ex Astris Scientia.

Academy times are listed ET, so adjust as appropriate for your timezone. Academies are mandatory, and everyone is human. Save your character development for your Advanced Ship. Minimum graduation time is 3 Academies, but don't expect to graduate that quickly; the host teams prefer to see how are over a longer span of time. And once you are posted to your first Advanced Sim, it's strongly recommended that any ideas that go outside Trek canon be approved by your host team.

Interestingly enough the Ship I commanded as the RSE Talon. I still have many of the old chat logs from those adventures and will post them sometime!

That the ship has the same name is no coincidence. STSF is directly descended from AOL's SFOL. Quite a good number of hosts and ships moved from SFOL to STSF when AOL's policies got to be a bit much to bear. I may not go back quite so far in sim tradition as you, but Joy Eleven was a long time veteran of Admiral Alpha's and Commander Bravo's USS Hawking.

Stop by the Talon. I wouldn't be shocked if you saw a familiar name or two...

Wait - Admiral Alpha and Commander Bravo? Dare I ask was there a Captain Delta and Colonel Omega? :-D

Welcome Sardak and enjoy!
