Personal log:Hilee,Richard,B.,Lt.Jg., I.S.S. Manticore

Computer Begin Recording:..Whirr...Beep..

End of shift found Hilee entering his quarters..sweeping the modest domicile for any listening or recording devices. Quietly setting the group of research components on his work bench..pressing the button to activate the white sound that would literally mask any sounds or conversation he may have .

The white sound was a little trick he had picked up over the years and riding on the carrier of a soothing musical play back no less. Engineering is back to full potential now and repairs to the ship have been accomplished, No doubt due to the motivation that was given to the crews earlier from the bridge.

Reaching and unbuckling his belt that had among other devices the Eagles Talon in the scabbard. Pressing down and pressing while twisting the pommel came free to reveal a very small crystal. Placing the crystal into his portable player device I listened to the conversation from my previous meeting with Faldek and company in his quarters. The Commander had swept his quarters prior to my arrival, And proceeded to sweep me as well upon my entry, All standard procedure to be sure. Pouring a small glass of Scottish Whisky and easing back into the chair he could not help smiling a bit as he had avoided the Commanders "bug" sweep.

The problem that perplexes me right now is why has Faldek drawn me into this little reorganization effort as he described for one. He is a friend on this vessel to be sure, I do have to believe he must be as well aware of my loyalty to the Emperor, and the Admiral.

I do not understand his reasoning to seek me out for this affair unless it serves to benefit himself at any cost, And to enlist key personnel to help assure him success...But at what cost?.

The mere mention of the remarks he made warrant extreme torture before being torn to pieces and executing the remainder before the vile dies. I hope this venture does mean and demonstrate his sincere desire to assist and maintain the order on this vessel and to further demonstrate his allegiance to the Admiral, Perhaps this is an attempt to quell a planned attempt to disrupt the chain of command. Mutiny attempts are pretty common place in this Armada as rank is gained many times by plots and intrigue resulting in the untimely demise of Fleet officers ...from time to time.

The offer of CENG, As well as Chief Interrogator is quite tempting indeed. I do reserve some respect and admiration for the Captain and his effective way of handling certain situations as they arise on a daily basis, That being stated I am just as concerned about the welfare of our Admirals life connected to our Captain as he is. The very substance of this plan my friend Faldek and company concerns me greatly...for if he succeeds will this make the situation better or will there be a need for major replacements needed for the number of crew executed during a botched mutiny.

Finishing the playback and placing the crystal with the rest of the assorted array of crystals he had collected, And secreting them safely away again picking up another small fresh crystal and depositing it in the holder in the pommel of the Talon, resetting it to be manually activated again with just a few small movements that were customary in the normal day to day routine...ready once again to gather evidence for the Empire should the need arise in the future to save his own skin and assist the investigators in the event of his sudden and untimely death. I must be careful "from here on".

Computer End Log and Encrypt:...Bleep,Blak,Bleep...
