Closing the final entry on the PADD and forwarding the news to the bridge Mr.scherer has infact performed another of his miracles in the restoration of at least one fighter launch bay to full readiness.

The fighters have been rearmed and fueled, crews and pilots standing by for rapid use and deployment should the need arise. I still maintain the suggestion to retrieve as much data from the listening/and repeater transmissions devices in this system might be a wise choice to pursue.

The Captain is on an away mission leading a team to the planet Organia on a fact finding mission to answer questions we have no answers to. The assigning of an unexperienced pilot for the shuttle in my opinion could greatly jeopardize that mission as he has not had any time as pic other than that at the academy, No detraction intended to the young pilot...just the opposite. I agree on the principle of the need for hands on experience for some real field stick time. The decision was made, In my opinion any seasoned pilot from the squadron would have sufficed for the mission without sacrificing the inegrity of the wing or the ship as well should the fighters be needed the pilot would not have been alone should an adverse situation arise that warranted immediate cover.

I returned to my duties overseeing the repairs and maintaince of the fighters when it occurred to me we may just need either reconniance or support to our AT on the shuttle. I immediately sought out the engineering team performing repairs under the flight deck and queried as to how long it might be until a bay could be restored to operational status for the launching of the fighters. One bay has been restored to full operational status and the deck officer has advised the readiness of part of the squadron as green.

I have the feeling and the dutiful concern things are going to be heating up soon from my past experiences on this ship and otherwise. I sincerely hope for an uneventful end to this mission for all parties concerned.
