Duty Log Of Assistant Medical Officer Images

 

Doctor Victor Images impatiently gripped the hypospray in the palm of his right hand. The Captain was being completely uncooperative. He kept getting up and shouting complete nonsense at nobody in particular. It was long overdue for his medication but Images still tried to keep his cool. “Patience doctor, patience”, he told himself. “You don’t want to annoy any more officers today, be courteous to the captain. Remember the Hippocratic oath, you are there to help the sick, not to make them hate you.”

 

“Sir”, he said leaning in front of Meve and putting on his best ‘kind physician’ face. “Can I ‘please’ give you your meds? Just that much?”

 

The captain stared blankly ahead still muttering gibberish.

 

“Right, that’s it. I’ve had enough!” Images exclaimed before moving to administer the prescription. As he placed it on the Captain’s neck, Fred quickly stood up and walked across the room to once again to tap the screen with the blinking light.

 

Images was about to grab and force the captain back into his chair when he stopped and got control of himself again. “Patience doctor, Patience”, he said as he moved behind the captain for yet another attempt whilst trying to think happy thoughts that did not involve phasers set on stun.
