Books

I work at a bookstore and so I can order some of the star trek books ahead of time but it just looks almost completely empty for the next 6 months. Please tell me someone knows some news, that we're still getting new star trek books!

I read something (might have been on memory alpha?) that said there is a three part series of new books coming out, starting in October of this year called Star Trek: Destiny that is a crossover novel involving the crew of the Enterprise-E, Deep Space Nine, and the USS Titan. That's obviously still eight months off, but its still something new :)

Best Place to find books to my knowledge is half.com . Not only can you find most books but you can get them cheap.

Again, the link above has the official listing of all the Trek books being released in the next few months.

Are you ordering them for personal uses or to stock your shop?

"The Return", by William Shatner. As far as books go, Shatner's books are considered to be their own "universe", naturally called "Shatnerverse", mainly because his books have so much that conflicts with what the other authors have established.

It's still a good read, though. :)

That was the storyline from the video game, star trek: legacy. Not a book in itself.

I am ordering them for personal use, but also we need to order them for stock as well and when I don't see anything but the graphic novels - great as they are I've already got the comics and want different stories - I get kind of nervous.

Yeah. I'd talk to Simon and Schuster again. I'm entirely certain that there are new books released every month.

I'll give you one good recommendation: Star Trek Excelsior - Forged In Fire, by Michael A. Martin & Andy Mangels, First Pocket Books paperback edition January 2008.

As far as I know they havent stopped the books, but they are being careful with them because of the new Film coming next year.

It's been out for maybe a month now but how about "Captain Kirk's Guide to Women"?

Hmm, as a guide to seducing the fairer sex or as a guide to understanding them? :P  :P

a lot of the books don't have "star trek" in the title anymore and I realize this is why it's so hard to realize what is coming up :P
