My first Assignment..

From a small home within the compounds of the Starfleet Research Facility rose the sounds of music and happy cheer of a party..as the hours went by and people started leaving the house where the music and the sounds eventually died out...

Finaly.. now i get to persue one on my greatest dreams, one i have had for some many years, it has finaly come true. she helt the PADD in her hand.. reassuring herself that it was true. The USS Reaent... USS Reaent it was really it said on the PADD. I have been never been this exited, have I? oww well... i have 2 days to pack. then i have to report for the transfer... *signs*.. only 2 days and there is so much i need to do.. so much i want to

pack..

In the following 2 days she said goodbye to her friends and her mother at SRF, packed a few personal items, her violin, her books, science material...ect, when she started packing she realised that she couldn't bring that what was most important to her.. her family. She remember how hard it was on her mother when her borther got assigned.. but atleast he got of every couple months..she had no idea when she would be back.. finaly she decided that she should bring a picture.. so that she would have her family close.

allthough she wasn't the only one on the transferflight.. in fact there many more people on that flight.. she felt lonely and started wondering. i know it will be different from SRF.. but how different will it be? will i fit in? how will they threat me and how will i threat them?...knowing this was exactly what her mother warned her about, she decided that she would follow her advise.if you feel uneasy, do what you are used to do read..study she started reading.. and her mother was right.. while she was reading the PADD with the technical data on the Reaent, she felt calmer.. more at ease. She realised that the ship was in repaires and was receiving a refit but still it would be outdated according to her standarts, so she pulled another PADD and some books out her bag

and started to familarise herself better with the ships systems.. the engines.. nacelles.. warpcore systems.. intermix chamber.. powerdistribution and regulation.... ..

Soon she was so lost in her books looking up several things, making notes..checking the ships data with the book.. that she didn't notice the other people around her.. only this mattered..but then she realised, it was her father that thaught her the things.. this was his book.. his personal notes where there.. and she felt the pain of his passing return. she relived the last few moments she had with him.. and then started crying...

In the following days in transfer, allthough using the books and notes from her father still caused her to be sad, she set her mind to the study of the ships systems and layout.. testing herself at the end of each day she would imagine a problem some where on the ship.. and then she would, starting from MENG or somewhere else on the ship, make here way there and try to solve it..

when the announcement came that they would arive at the drydock in a couple hours.. she decided to put her books away and to read her Assignment PADD again.report as soon as you arive. and while the transfer was nearing his final stages she started looking out the windows.. catching glimpses of the Reaent.. and she was astonised by what she saw and felt proud...

she could do this.. she had her mind set to it.. she would do it, she would live her dream.
