It has been two days since Captain Sovak tried to kill the

Admiral. A9 had been inhabited by the silicon-based

lifeform that has taken over the ship's computer systems

and is now taking Manticore to the planet of Bynaus in the

Beta Magellan system, the home of the Binars. The part of

the lifeform that had merged with A9 sacrificed itself in order

to absorb the killing blow of the phaser and allow A9 to

survive. The doctors in the sickbay spent hours working on

getting A9's exoskeletal suit separated from his back, as it

had become fused there when he was shot. The doctors

were successful, but due to the nature of the extraction

and the extent of his injuries, they are keeping him sedated.

In the meantime, the Beta Magellan star system is just

coming into long range senors.
