Doing The Loca Boomba...Again

Post arrival at Starbase #113 the crew has found base literally pock marked with holes from an obvious attack. The scoring of the damage appears to match those of the other Arcadia that had been rendered to resemble Swiss cheese. The base upon scanning had very few life signs being reported,The base as well was reading high levels of radiation of the type we had experienced and recorded on the planet the ghost Arcadia was orbiting.

 

I had gone over my data with Commander Alces and relayed my suspicions as the data may prove to discover a link with the Romulans here in this Universe. Sending the data to Sick bay and the good doctor to analyze and possibly bear out the suspicion and reveal the way the enemy manages to stay one step ahead of us at every turn.

 

We were going over scans,detecting a few minimal readings the problem with the whole deal is if there were survivors,in all likely hood they may be dying from exposure to high levels of the radiation there for too long. Commander LoAmi had determined to send an AT to the base to try and find survivors as well as look for anything out of place. The members chosen were Daena and Tom Servo, Daena does have the inherent ability to hear sounds some of the rest of us cannot.

 

Prior to the beam over I had voiced my opinion to Tom in passing this may well be just one more elaborate trap. My tac LR/SR scans lit up..console flashing a ship entering the sector at a very high rate of speed. The intruding ship was identified as the U.S.S. AAA . The ship upon scanning matched the profile as the other Arcadia found here the weapons were of the same type,resulting in little or no offensive challenge to us.

 

The AT had been going from place to place on the base,looking and apparently finding some of the crew, Their comm links were open and Ops had a lock on them in the case an emergency beam out was needed. Turning the Arcadia into a bow forward defensive posture and readying defensive grids,and offensive weapons I proceeded to plot and lay in an escape vector as per the Commanders orders. The approaching ship is now thirty seconds out and still at a very high speed..I wonder if she is in control or a fast flying ghost ship.

 

The Commander and the rest of the bridge crew were hard at work when we heard Daena over the comm link yell..then a BOOM. Apparently this was one more elaborate trap set for us once more. I now have a definite suspicion the Romulans have a way to know our thoughts and plans and are managing to stay one step ahead of us. The ship that is closing is mere moments away,and Ops trying to retrieve the AT from the base. I hope we get them back in one piece, And the ship closing is not just a flying bomb.
