A9 Personal Log, Stardate 50305.17

::Sitting in his Ready Room, looking out the window::

Gads, I'll never get used to Maturin Station.  No matter how many times I see the monstrosity!

::Turns back to his desk and a reflection catches his eye and he fingers his collar, pausing for a moment::

Computer, Open Personal Log, Admiral Atragon-9, Commanding Officer, USS Manticore, NCC-5852, password *********

I don't know where to start.  Melville's legacy is gone, Megan's ghost is gone.  Lincoln is gone.  Proxima Centuri is gone!!

... and Melville LIVES???  Can it be true?

I have to speak to CG Jaffe, I have to get the data they have.  They better release all of their classified data to me about this project, Damn It!  After all ::hand reaches up to his collar again::  they went ahead and made me an Admiral!  There MUST be something in what I sent them that makes all the pieces fit together.  I know that they've always wondered if I killed Melville or not and now my reality fits with the facts if they bring in the sleeve concept.

He MUST be alive somewhere, he must have just used me to dispose of the original vessel and nail my career dead once and for all.  Why else would the promote me now?

::sigh:: Sometimes I hate working for Black Ops.  The PADD is your friend, Trust no one, keep your phaser handy - I used to wonder about that joke slogan.  Not anymore.

Well, time to get the ship restocked and see what new goodies they have for us - we really ARE the kids in the candy store when we get to Maturin.  I better make sure the crew doesn't go TOO crazy.
