Veiled

I greet you in peace

I greet you in peace. I am Cadet Eeman Amatullah (pronounced ee-MAN AM-uh-too-LAH) reporting for duty. My personnel file is submitted below.

Starfleet Command Personnel File

Cadet Eeman Amatullah

General Information

Full Name: Eeman Amatullah

Gender: Female

Species: Human

Age: 21

Height: 5' 9"

Weight: 160 lb.

Eye Color: Green

Marital Status: Married

Children: 7

Service Record:

Current Rank: Cadet

Current Assignment: Starfleet Academy

Personal History

From the planet Valcour, an Earth settlement, where veiling is commonplace. Eeman has special permission to veil her face via a hidden implant that created a holographic veil when on duty. When off duty, she sometimes wears a real veil and has on occasion been seen wearing her native garb.

Psychological Evaluation

She is typically very serious. Factually-based approach to life. She is unaccustomed to being around non-related men and refuses to touch them. She makes exceptions for "life and death" situations, which is exactly why she joined Starfleet - to help save her planet from alien invasion. Upon psychological evaluation, it appears that some of her motivation for joining is due to her curiosity and desire to visit Earth, where her ancestors are from.

She is very dis-trusting although capable of working well on a team, as long as her personal privacy is respected. She does not like to discuss too much about herself personally and tends to withdraw after doing so.

She has typical human emotions. Normal feedback response. Fit for duty.

Medical Evaluation

She is physically fit. 96% rating on physical stress test. Has a few minor health issues that can be viewed by authorized personnel. Her lungs are not as strong as a typical human, due to the environmental hazards on her home planet. Scored high in martial arts fitness and enjoys sword fights on the holodec.

Career Evaluation

Cadet has tested well in several fields, but has a strong interest in science and medicine.

Welcome to STSF, Eeman. Among your people are you known by your first name, and is your sir name the first or second name? I need to ask these questions whenever I see a new culture - so as not to offend (or look stupid!).

Looking forward to seeing you in the academy!

::clears throat::

Welcome!

Two things to remember: 1) Any Academy hosted by STSF N'Dak is a guaranteed suicide mission [And that's a direct quote from his signature]. 2) Never compare the GMs to Captains Bligh or Queeg if you want to get graduate sometime before the turn of the century.

That being said, I'd recommend reading: How to sim, as well as: Tips from the Moose

Thank you for the welcome. It should've said Eeman, Amatullah. Meaning,

Last name: Eeman

First name: Amatullah

So, that would be Cadet Eeman, sir.

Hmm, looks like there's nothing useful for me to add...but welcome anyway!

Oh, on one small note, for the month of December, the USS Hood, one of the Advanced sims here is running an open academy. Basically there will be an acad instead of the normal sim, but cadets and guests are allowed to play, and the plot line continues from week to week.

This is a very good chance for people who haven't yet graduated to see and in participate in a sim that lasts longer then an hour. The first sim happened last night, and all went well. I think we have a decent balance of new people, and older players to help everyone along.

On top of that, the Hood open sims also count towards the required minimum of three attended academies before graduation, so who knows, you might just graduate from the sim you go on to play full time :D

Anyways, I just thought I'd give anyone who hadn't read the announcement a heads up, kudos to the Hood GM's and whoever thought this up, I wish we've had something like this when I was in the academy.
