"With Deep Thoughts Come Revelation"

" With Deep Thoughts Come Revelation"

Personal Log: Angelis, John, A., Lt.Jg.

Computer begin recording:..Beep...

Angel entered his quarters drained both mentally and physically. The preceding days have been taxing to say the least. Turing the lights down low I have gathered my shell to light the sage and cedar. I give thanks to our creator and our ancestors for the favorable outcome of our recent trials. I give thanks for the safe return of the away team members as well as the ones that had been enslaved.

I offer up prayer for those of the crew that unselfishly gave their own ultimate sacrifice so many others might live. The young security officer Eric comes to mind , His lone act made the possibility of the survival of this ship and crew a firm reality.

The fighter bay has been exhaustive work, The repair of some of the fighters that were either damaged during the structural failure of the bay, or the damage wrought when the bay doors were manually opened and the subsequent decompression.

The carnage of the results of the Romulans unsuccessful attempt to mount an assault team to retrieve a prisoner from our brig. Yes the brig indeed, the thought comes to mind again of little one again placed in a perilous situation, doing her duty sworn. The revelation occurs to me that life is so short on this plain of existence to not savor and enjoy each and every available moment gifted us by the powers that reign .

I have spent the majority of my life following and honoring the teachings of our elders and ways. I have kept true my sworn duty to the Council, and Star Fleet, I have never asked for quarter or expected any on a field of battle. The recurring revelation still manages to seep into my consciousness we are here for a short time, revel and accept the blessings and gifts that have been lavishly placed upon your table.

The recent past events scream at me as if to confirm the thoughts of mortality and limited time. My fellow pilots as well the other departments are some of the most dedicated individuals it has been my honor to serve with. Each crewman living and working day to day never knowing what the end of each day will bring though the faces of the individuals at times reveal more than the spoken word may relate.

I have been away from my own quarters for so long I had practically forgotten recent subspace communicaes from the elder council on my inquires made to both they and the clan elders of both little ones, and mine. "Pausing" to bring up the messages that were encrypted and sent to ship personnel ,Angel read the various responses. I see the elders are unanimous in their decision. The easy part is over, now the hardest part is yet to begin.

I must contact Schawnsee to reveal and go over the findings of the council. Again more thoughts come to mind, how will she take the news, how will she react to the news, how in the name of our forefathers will she given this news be able to totally grasp fully the news?. I know we had parted from each other earlier, it is late and I know we both need the rest. His comm badge "chirped", it is my little one. The matter of timing to give her the news has apparently been provided, looking at the sage and cedar still smoking, and the trade blanket upon which he sat, he smiled.

To my forefathers again I give thanks, he talked to her for a brief moment, relaying the importance of them speaking now and not later. Angel rose from the blanket, turning and headed for the door to meet Schawnsee, Computer...End Log:..Beep...
