This is Halloween

I am taking my nephews out tonight to trick or treat. They are going to be a King, Knight and a dragon. I am going to be a 1960's flight attendant (I know it doesn't fit with the theme). I just wanted to know if anyone else is dressing up or if you have had some fun costumes in the past. Hey what can I say I am a theatre person, any excuse to dress up.

hehe

No dressing up tonight, but I'm going to a Halloween party this weekend instead. I still haven't decided what I wanna dress up as though. I did the sexy kitty thing last year. :)

Well, I'm not getting dressed up tonight, or heading out. There will be scary movie viewing however!

My office building had trick or treating this afternoon for the kids (people from all the suites brought thier kids by all the offices) - I am currently sitting at the front desk sporting tiger cat ears. Yes, yes, I know, cat ears. ::typical::

Happy Halloween everyone! Bring on the ghosts and goblins!

I once went to a party as Major Tom (flight suit and all); another time I went as a Werewolf who had been shot with a silver bullet (I kept adding more and more fake blood throughout the evening and staggering around); but my favorite was the melting man, I used different colored gelatin/jello and had it gel on my face (took a long time) so that I had all these weird, wiggling, fleshy-looking things on my face and as the evening went on, they would warm up and slide/fall off - a creepy and cool effect.

I'm going as a...

Wait for it...

Civilian!

(Not a far stretch of the imagination, but then, I'm sitting on Keesler AFB on school orders)

I'm going as Borat - and not the "This suit is black... not!" outfit either, the other one.

I dressed like Doc Brown from Back to the Future. It was pretty much amazing. I bought some white hair paint, lab coat, and nice, colored button-up shirt. I loved it!

Well, I didnt get to dress up this year for medical reasons. <<which is why I hadn't been to Red Star in a while. Hope to be back soon>> BUT, for the past several years I have dressed up as I look in my avatar. I Dress as a Native American, Place a deer skin on my horse Bareback, and ride out to the end of our road. Note I live in the country so I dont get trick-or-treaters back my small one lane road. I normally go to them in town and hand candy off the horse. And YES the horse loves it. She gets all of the open sour ball candy. Her favorite.

Well, Halloween is done, and we are launched full force into the Christmas holiday rush/markeing schtick - the commercials are on, and I've already spotted decorations at local stores/malls. (And I love holiday music just as much as the next person...but make it stop. Please. My ears are bleeding. It's too early - I don't wanna hear about the stupid red nosed reindeer this close to Turkey Day!)

Thanksgiving has been totally dropped into the Netherverse. ;-)

I gave up - my costumes suck - nobody ever gets them. most recently I went as a really bad veternarian - i put bite marks all over my arms and had a dead (fake) hamster in my lab coat pocket, that kind of thing. all night was like, "you're a doctor, right?" they liked the kitty-litter cake, though. So the last two years i just put on a pair of cat ears and called it a costume. i still don't win any prizes. :)

I did a mock up of a WWII army officer, something akin to Bruce Willis' get up in Hart's War. My moms boyfriend had a nice old army coat, and I got a few things from the army surplus store a few towns over. I doubt it was very histroically acurate, or very orignal or shocking, but at least it was something, and warm too considering your lucky to get a Halloween over fifty degrees here.
