Joint Log

10.27.07

USS Agincourt NCC-81762

Lieutenant “Elvis” Black-Knight walked into the marine barracks and looked around for Kansas; he wanted to give her an update on the NNC investigation.

Kansas JoNs was currently laying flat on her back on her assigned bunk, clad in her usual off duty sweatpants and tee shirt; the feline currently held an ice pack to her head.

Elvis finally noticed Kansas, as well as the ice pack on her head, and walked over. Grinning, he said "Are you having fun yet, sir?"

A green eye popped out from under the pack and lit on her line officer. "Ouch, Lieutenant Black-Knight." Slowly, the golden feline got into a sitting position, hissing a few times as sore muscles protested the movement. "It's a plot; they are trying to kill me and take over command of security... oh wait, wrong universe ..."

Hearing the hissing he replied with, "That bad eh?"

"Make me a promise Elvis? Please don't screw up as I did; I really don't want to have to send you down here to the NNC. Now - what's up?"

"Just an update on the NNC situation, Miles was not at the holo deck when the incident occurred. We are checking transporter records but I don’t think were going to find anything. My best guess at this situation is that it all was placed in advanced and then remote activated when the time was right. Question is who and why?

JoNs grabbed her personal Padd from its hiding spot under her pillow and called up all of the information that had been recorded and filed from the NNC holo attack investigation. "Agreed. I am going to send a formal request letting the colonels know to clear the NNC HD for general use again. We have all the information we need from the area, at least now. What scares me? Yes, it's not O'Brien who tinkered with the NNC safety controls, obviously - which means we have one sick person on this ship." She spoke quietly, as did Black-Knight; thankfully, most of the barracks was out training or in the lounge and so the two security officers were free to discuss the on going sabotage investigation.

Black-Knight shuddered a bit at the thought. "No kidding."

The part time security chief, part time marine trainee looked at her officer wearily. "Okay, all we can do at this point is keep investigating and see about any more leads. We'll check with engineering about the systems in general, see if Kairi and her people have come up with anything. And, we can check the crew personnel files, so we can see who has the potential to hack into the systems the way the NNC holo-systems were used..."

She paused, and then continued her thought, "... and that goes for me too; I have some hacking ability...." JoNs trailed off uncertainly at admitting that tidbit of information to her line officer.

"Yes sir"

She eyed the lieutenant for a few seconds. "I want to thank you and the others for keeping the department in one piece; I know it is kind of weird, with me dividing time between there and the marine training... thanks Elvis."

"No problem Chief."

A smile lit her feline features, showing some fangs. "Dismissed Lieutenant."
