Colonels:

 

Regarding the ongoing investigation into the accident that occurred within the NNC, some new information has come to light regarding the sciences portion of the investigation. Lieutenant Condacin reported to Lieutenant Black-Knight that Midshipman O’Brien’s DNA signature was recorded at the scene of the incident.

 

I have questioned my officer, asking him if he was in the NNC after being explicitly ordered not to enter the area, and also if he rigged the holo safeties to go off line during the combat training scenario; his answer, to both counts, is no.

 

I believe my officer is innocent until proven guilty; further investigation into the NNC incident is underway and pending.
