"Mess Hall Brawl"

Callack finished reading the report from Tactical that he had downloaded to his PADD. He grabbed his glass and had it to his lips when he heard someone called for security. He turned and saw what the call was for. 2 men fighting were brawling in the Mess Hall. Callack tapped his comm badge. "This is Nimetti, I got it."

"Need any assistance, sir?" The voice on the other end sounded anxious.

"No I can take care of it." Callack let annoyance flow through his voice as he got up and walked over to where the fight was taking place. By this time, a crowed had gathered and the young security officer had to push his way through. Finally reaching the middle of the group he started moving everyone back. "Alright, everyone back up."

Nobody moved.

"NOW," yelled Callack.

Everbody backed up a few steps. Now that he had enough room, Callack grabbed the crewman nearest him and flung him back. As he turned around to take care of the other person, Callack had just enough time to see the punch and roll with it.

After the punch had glanced off his cheek and the Petty officer was comming with his follow up punch, Callack's martial arts instincts took over. As the Petty Officer was swing with his second punch, the securtiy officer grabbed the arm and twisted it 180 degrees and kneed the assailant in the gut. The Petty Officer crumpled over, but was still standing. Callack then follow thru with a spinning roundhouse kick. The Petty Officer fell back a couple of feet from where he had been, obviously unconsious.

Nimetti turned his attention to the crewman who had been involved. He was just in time too. The crewman had tried to flee, so there was a clean path between the security officer and the crewman. Callack looke at the nearest table, grabbed a cup and flung it, hitting the crewman in the back of his knee. This move tripped the crewman, who got up and squared off with officer.

The crewman charged Callack, who just side stepped and tripped him. Rolling with the fall, the crewman faced the officer. Callack shifted his stance to a more defensive posture. As the crewman came at Nimetti, Callack blocked his attacks effectively, reacting so fast that one would have thought he knew what was coming. After the final punch from the crewman, Callack blocked the punch and delivered a counter punch of his own, hitting the crewman under the arm, in the armpit. He hit his mark on the pressure point and caused the Crewman to collapse in shocking pain.

"Alright crewman! On your feet." Callack grabbed the crewman with his right arm behind his back and yanked him to his feet. His adrenaline was pumping at this point and he wasn't too happy either. He decided to take the 2 brawlers to main security.

Callack was looking around when he noticed one of his security crewman enter the mess hall. He motioned for the crewman over to him and instructed him to get the petty officer that was just coming to. Once both men were in Security's custody, the young Lieutenant JG led the way to the offices.

Callack sat both of the men apart from each other. "What the hell was that all about? You know we've got Selshan ships around us and we've got a lot of things going on right now. We don't have the time nor the man power on this ship to have people beating the hell out of each other." He was beyond angry. They had been lucky that he didn't kill them. He had even thought to throw them out the airlock, but he figured with the way his luck was running, the Selshan's would have interpreted the to men floating through space as the Agincourt firing at them. So he decided to keep them in security for now.

He brought up their records. Both were members of Security. The petty officer was Petty Officer third class Graf, on the armory omega team. Callack shook his head. He'd deal with him later. The crewman was Crewman 2nd Class Wan, from the Cargo teams. He'd have to deal with him too.

The security officer sat on the corner of his desk. "Well, one of you is gonna tell me what this was all about, or I'll through you in the brig by the Selshan." He started tapping his foot.

"It wasn't my fault. He started it." Graf gave a stern look to the crewman. "He ran his mouth, so I thought I'd shut him up." He didn't think his Lieutenant would blame him, after hearing everything that Callack had done. "Besides, you would've done the same thing."

Callack moved from the desk to stand in front of Graf. "Say what?!" That last statement set him off. "First of all, you are more senior than Mr. Wan. Second you DON'T bring me into this mess. And you don't do something cuz you though I'd have done the same thing. Now what the hell did he say to cause you to punch him?"

Graf was shocked at the response that he'd recieved. Lieutenant Nimetti was usually a calm person. "He was talking bad about a friend of mine down in engineering, sir. I wasn't gonna take it."

Callack walked back over to the desk and leaned on it. Sighing, he then punched the top of the desk. "What's your side of the story, crewman?" Callack's voice was getting lower and more cold.

Scared, Wan replied, "It's the truth sir. But he didn't say anything about it. He just punched me. So I fought back."

"You sonofa..." Graf went to hit Wan. However, Callack had caught what was gonna happen and had quickly turned around and caught Graf's hand.

"Bad mistake Petty Officer. I'm here by ordering both of you to be put into the brig. When I'm done with the reports, I'll come back and tell you what I plan to do. Brotesh, Pharon escort these men to the brig...in seperate sells and as far away from the Selshan as possible." He needed to get away from them before he decided to kill them both.

"Yes, sir." Both of the escorts said in unison. As they left with the prisoners, Callack walked over to the replicator. "Bag of Ice, small." The bag formed and he wrapped his hand in it. He walked back over to his desk and started doing the reports. "Kansas is gonna love this." He shook his head and continued working.
