The Manticore has just pulverized Proxima Centuri in order to destroy a nanotechnology-based "viral" swarm that is deadly to all organic life. The use of the classified Planet Killer ordnance so close to the planet has put considerable strain on the ship's systems. The dual Warp cores are being repaired by Engineering and many bruises and lacerations are being repaired by Medical. As for the psychic wounds of witnessing a planet's destruction, the crew will have to mend itself, with the aid of Counselor Crito.
