First Impressions,First shift,First Day...

Personal log:Eagle,James,T.,Ens.Tactical Officer

U.S.S. Arcadia NCC-1742-E

I have just reported to the executive officer for duty.

There was a very brief introduction, due to the present situation it is quite understandable the normal exchange of pleasantries as well as the normal tour have been dispensed with.

I had no sooner logged into the tactical command console the xo began to look for performance from his new tac officer, well I will do the very best that I am able to.

Apparently the Arcadia has been in pursuit of a vessel known as a knock box. It seems the ship is suspect of kidnapping an ambassador and assistants .

They have gone through quite a bit of subterfuge to mask this by all accounts gleaned from the records data. So here we are now, enjoined in an attempt to catch this crew and ship. It seems to be my lot in life to always show up and be drawn into the thick of things.

Thank the makers this crew appears to be of the highest caliber and battle hardened. All very good at their assigned duties and task, working together like a well oiled machine.

The bridge crew just jumped right in when I have requested data and assistance. They are there..together we may be able to turn the tide of our present situation to our advantage.

I must stay focused on my duty . We are not in the best of places right now...literally flying almost blind as a bat with little or no sensors in this soup. All the while attempting to keep the ship and crew from harm. Were my wife here now she would definitely say my idea of this shortcut was illogical, and dangerous at best.

The chronometer on my tactical display indicates we should be nearing the breakout point within minutes now. In mere minutes a lifetime passes....End Log.
