Excalibur is heavily damaged, and no longer operational. We have restarted fusion plants and anticipate getting under way under impulse power shortly. Warp drive may require a yard. The torpedo turret is very much non-operational. There is significant though not critical structural damage along our port side.

 

It seems likely that we will transit the wormhole to DS 9 for initial repair. Do not assume Excalibur will be ready to resume fleet flag in the short term.

 

There were significant casualties. Of the bridge crew, only three individuals remained on duty after the action ceased. Captain Sorehl has come aboard and has assumed temporary command. I am currently holding down the bridge. While it did not seem that Captain Corizon or commander Teykier were too seriously injured, they have not been available. Thus far, I have not received causality numbers from medical, though they do not seem to be overwhelmed.

 

I shall not repeat our perspective on the battle or subsequent pursuit as our communications and sensors have been out, and our attention has been on damage control. You hopefully have far better sources of information.

 

My sister Eight came through the wormhole with her courier towards the end of the battle. We intend to share information. She will likely report to Camelot shortly. My current intent is to return briefly to Alpha Quad, and make my reports to San Francisco.
