The Calm before the Storm

Kat took her seat in the chair as planned. The drugs Deb had given her were wearing off and she was beginning to feel the part that Deb had made look so bad. She leaned her head back to the cushion and gritted her teeth willing it to stop.

 

As she sat there she began thinking of Angel back on the ship. Even though she left a note for him, she figured he was not going to be happy. Although this was her choice it was not their way. She had been confronted once before for making a choice as this, and that was when her Father had asked Angel to try to keep tabs on her. Angel could not keep tabs on her if he wasn't there. This is what she took advantage of.

 

Kat grits her teeth a little harder to try to coax the pain away. She looked up to where Aaron and Deb stood by the hatch getting ready to open it and allow those outside in. All Kat could hope for is that they believe the story about the transporter and let them alone. She knew it was a long shot, but it was all they had at the moment.

Kat once again leaned back in the chair closing her eyes praying to the Creator that the pain would stop
