I'm just glad I'll have something new to look at, even if the "cannon" of this film clashes with everything else. I'm just concerned that with the writer's strike, there are going to be delays.

Here's the newest cast member added. Winona Ryder as Spock's mom.

As Spock would say, "fascinating."

Hmmm...

Better hope she doesn't steal anything from the set.

Heh, she'll just work it into her character. Scotty can have a go at her when she nicks the "shiny shiny crystals" as she puts it before she gets tackled by security.

The New Spock. I think he looks pretty good.

Well at least we know they can cast someone too look decent enough like Spock, although he is one of my smallest concerns :D

Hey, wait a second, he's a young Spock, but already with Commander stripes?

He's also wearing a uniform from too late in TOS. He should be wearing something at least a bit more similar to the ones shown in TOS "The Cage."

Interesting -i hope the script is better then the last movie(tng) it will be strange to see new actors in tos roles; as long as the script is not a remake of the last 6 movies maybe we will see more of pike/number one /and spock.just hope its not a bomb..

Putting aside the later TOS uniform, the commander stripes and such - he looks pretty dang convincing as a Spock! I'm impressed.

I am new here but I have to say, I am just so excited about a new trek movie that I will be overjoyed at anything they give me. I will be critical after I see the movie.

I agree with Qunitessa regarding this; remember that excited jolt you would get about going to the movies and seeing a Trek movie? I started "late" with the films, but I'm looking forward (perhaps with a tiny bit of trepidation) to seeing this film. Original Series?! Hello! How is that not cool?

"Is it true, that there's a place in a man's head, that if you shoot it with a phaser it will explode?!"

Heh, I love Simon Pegg in Shaun and Hot Fuzz but I am a little wary about him being able to act Trek....Scotty on top of it.

Oh well.

::Loves Shaun of the Dead.. thought Hott Fuzz was funny but more in the 'okay' category.::

As long as he can pull it off reasonably and not ham and cheese it up like a bad impression, it should be at least somewhat decent.

::Chose both ham and cheese because I wasn't sure which would have been more accurate.::
