You have to ask someone around longer, like Kansas. ::clears throat:: KANSAS!!!

LOL. I think I've been around longer than Kansas, and I wasn't even here when STSF first 'started.' :P

Hey there,

Youngling.... :)

Normally there isn't anything special per say, though often sims may take some time out to do something individually. :)

My bad, but I don't think calling a suicide captain(lol just a joke, you know what i mean) to ask about festivities he could ruin by blowing everything up(again, just a joke) is quite appropriate.

EDIT: oops, wrong N'dak, lol. Well kansas was the first person to come to mind. =P

Maybe we could find the remains of the USS Wesley Crusher.

I thought it got sucked into a black hole and happened to be transported into Borg territory right before dying a horrible holey death.

Heh Fred,

That's exactly what I meant!

I joined about a month before STSF's first 'birthday.' However, it should be noted that most of our games are much older than STSF itself. Reaent, Republic, Arcadia and Excalibur have all celebrated ten-years of simming.

How did that happen?

Most of the sims here in STSF were part of SFOL before breaking off from them and making STSF.

And Manticore will celebrate it's 10th in a few months!

But, to answer the first question, STSF doesn't have any specific sim plan for our 5 year anniversary, but I am going to finally replace the Post-It on the door with a real sign.

:P

While I am like a bad penny who keeps turning up :-D, NDak has been here longer then I have. So, if NDak is a Youngling, I am a junior youngling.

What was SFOL?

The short version is that SFOL was an on line group in the early days of the 'Net, and STSF was one (of a few) groups that branched off/broke away from the group. I'll leave the more detailed stuff, and the official version, to the vets here.

To give a short version, and I wasn't a part of the group then, but SFOL was an AOL based organization of various Star Trek games in the 90's. By the end of the decade, the group splintered into other groups, and STSF is one of those groups.

Hey there,

There is a very good article on SFOL that can be found over at the Simming Encyclopedia. I'd suggest looking at the following articles for more information:

From these two articles you can get some details about a few of the sims within STSF itself.
