The Hunter Becomes the Hunted

"The Hunter Becomes the Hunted."

or

"So Much for Stealth"

The once quiet area around a mysterious port has been torn asunder with the sounds of weapons fire; the yelling of guards, as well as the barking of dogs which rapidly close in on Shamor's a.k.a. Vanthros' position. The plan was simple, follow the black limo-like vehicle undetected and see where they go. Yet through some fluke of paranoia or the possibility that they actually used their sensors they found him. With limited weapons and even more limited power for weapons Vanthros has to pick his shots carefully.

One mistake which seems to be smacking him upside his head is his rash move to destroy his comlink. On the bright side it kept whoever was shooting at him from tracing it back to the others but it leaves him alone to face his enemies. A double-edged sword maneuver, which had to be done for the safety of the others, so should he fall the others will have a chance to prevail. His only hope is that the others took his last message to heart: "To whoever can hear this, my position has been compromised. Do not reply and do not come after me. Radio silence on my end."

The other blunder on his part was forgetting to take his cybernetic eye with him before he left. Without it his shots won't be as accurate as they normally are and his chances of dodging shots are reduced because of that. So instead of relying on technology to survive, he now has to rely more on his instincts in order to make it back alive. The blessing in disguise for his misfortune is that the rest of the team can use his eye to track him down, since the option of using the comm is no longer available.

With the situation as it is he has to think fast and act even faster in order to stay ahead of his attackers. After a brief assessment, and nearly losing his head from a skilled marksman who apparently was riding in the limo, he is left with two options. Option one would be to wear down his attackers to where he could possibly get some answers from whoever is shooting at him. Option two would be to use the smoke grenades and flash bangs in his satchel to cover up his escape in order to hurry back to the others. As much as he wants to put his combat skills to the test he will have put things into perspective and make the right call. "Oh well, so much for stealth. I hope the others take my advice and not come after me. Don't want them getting hurt, which is probably why I went alone to begin with. Note to self: if I make it out of this alive I'm going to smack Corran for having me do this and myself for actually doing it!"
